Macau suspends granting of resident status due to real estate ...

Macau, China, 4 April – The government of Macau as of Wednesday suspended the granting of resident status in the territory through investment in real estate, the head of the government, Edmund Ho said in the Legislative Assembly Tuesday.

Ho explained that the possibility would be “suspended" and later reviewed taking into consideration Macau's new reality.

The head of the Administrative Region of Macau also said that around 4,000 current requests would, however, be dealt with.

Ho also said that the process of concession of land in Macau could be carried out by public auction when the land is for housing, but warned that real estate prices would increase.

“On launching a public tender, large foreign companies, which have greater economic leverage, can easily present a proposal and win, but this leads to price increases," he said.

If the meteoric success of the Jamaican-born Floridian businessman and pastor, Dennis Grant, is anything to go by, then, without a doubt, investing in land is the path to building financial wealth and living the American dream.

"You don't need a have a green card or be an American citizen to purchase land in the United States. Four years ago I was broke but I knew whereI was going and started seeking opportunities," said Grant in a presentation Wednesday at the Hilton Kingston hotel as he encouraged the participants to invest in land through his company, Florida Topland, Incorporated.

Ryland Campbell to address real estate launch

Having a secure financial future is a major goal for most Jamaicans although many regard it as an unattainable dream. One of the surest routes to financial security is investing in land. This time-honoured maxim has been proven correct time and again, and land is generally regarded as the safest investment with High Returns on Investment (HRI).

Locally based Jamaicans and those in the wider diaspora now have an opportunity to invest in prime real estate on the outskirts of one of the fastest growing cities in the United States - El Paso, Texas. On Wednesday this week those investors with an eye for a good buy will preview an investment offer at the Hilton Kingston Hotel hosted by Florida Toplands Inc a development company headed by Jamaican/American Dr Dennis Grant whose foray into the real estate development business has been phenomenal.

A Few Ways to Legally Move to Brazil Without Having to Marry a ...

Immigration visa to Brazil will be granted only to applicants who satisfy the special requirements established by the Brazilian National Immigration Council or the Ministry of Labor. In principle, there are seven cases in which a foreigner can obtain a permanent residence visa to Brazil:

The administrator, manager or director of a professional or business corporation

This category is designed to cover inter-company transfers. Thus, the applicant must already be employed outside of Brazil by the parent company or by an affiliate or subsidiary of the company that proposes to employ him inside Brazil. However, there is no minimum time for that previous employment. Necessary documents for the first step will include:

1-Proof that the applicant is employed outside Brazil by the parent company, or an affiliate or subsidiary of the Brazilian hiring company;

2-A demonstration that the Brazilian company is bringing in specialized labor that will transfer technology, increase productivity and/or bring social benefits;

3-Proof that the company outside of Brazil or its parent has effected total foreign-capital investments of at least US$ 200,000 in the employing company in Brazil for each visa requested.
